Who is Ian Kwa?
Well, my name is Ian Kwa Hun Whey. I went to Coral Secondary and am now currently studying in Singapore Polytechnic for a Diploma in Internet Security. Like any other guy, I like to spend my time playing games with my friends but one of my strongest interest is in building things with my hands. It started when my parents bought me a modeling kit when I was small. At first I thought it was lame but as I went on to build it, I couldn't stop tinkering with the parts. I think what really captured me was the beauty of it all when the parts came together perfectly.
In secondary school, it was a no-brainer that I was going to choose D&T. My teachers were really kind and motivating and they encouraged me to partake in many competitions like the Toy Design competition in Sec 2. Even though I didn't win anything I felt like I had learnt a lot like how to use the computer to create a 3D model and met new people. On my off time, whenever any of my relatives or friends purchase any items from places like IKEA and don't know how to put it together, I would make my way down to help them. A friend of mine was so pleased that he joked about me making this into a small business but I thought about it for awhile and it seemed like a good idea. Where else would I get to do what I enjoy while earning a little cash? Thats why if you have any troubles with furniture just give me a call!
